Dog owners can buy the Fi Ultra GPS tracker for $209.30 through October 25. The price represents a 30 percent reduction from the standard rate. Shoppers must enter the coupon code SCARY at checkout to receive the discount.
The promotion brings the cost of the device back to its initial launch price. This offer covers several satellite-connected models sold by Fi. The Fi Ultra is the specific model tested by The Verge earlier this year.
The device features an IP68 rating, making it fully waterproof in saltwater. Battery life lasts up to five days based on the activity level of the pet. The tracker clips onto a collar or harness and uses LTE, GPS, and Starlink satellite signals to locate pets in areas without cellular service. It can also vibrate or play sounds to alert the animal. Fi claims the Ultra is the first dog tracker to combine T-Satellite, Starlink, GPS, and LTE.
Testing in a remote part of South Carolina showed precise tracking capabilities. However, the update interval of two to three minutes may pose challenges for very fast dogs. Battery performance dropped in Lost Mode, where a full charge lasted barely two days. The unit is large, making it better suited for bigger dogs.
An active subscription is required to use the tracking features. Fi offers discounts on the first term with plans ranging from six months to two years. A one-year plan costs $99 for the first year and $189 for subsequent years. These plans operate only in the United States, and satellite coverage does not include Alaska.
Other deals are available online. Amazon sells the Kirby Air Riders game for the Nintendo Switch 2 for $48.99, down from $69.99. The JLab JBuds Talk USB-C microphone is priced at $24.99, well below its usual range of $50 to $100. It features four directional modes and a 96KHz/24-bit sample rate. Amazon also lists the Lego Star Wars Grogu set for $103.99, a $26 discount that marks its lowest price to date. The 1,200-piece kit includes swappable arms, facial features, and a head-turning lever.
