Vanessa Trump, 48, declared herself free of breast cancer on Friday after receiving clear results from recent medical tests. The former wife of Donald Trump Jr. shared the update in a short video posted to the Instagram account of her 19-year-old daughter, Kai. In the clip, Trump stated that her tests "came back clear, so I'm finally cancer-free." She has five children with Trump Jr., the eldest son of President Donald Trump.

Kai Trump included the video as a preview for a longer release scheduled for Saturday. The extended content features a discussion between the mother and daughter about breast cancer awareness and prevention. Kai also noted that she interviewed Dr. Nicole Saphier during the session. The goal of the conversation is to educate viewers on early detection and support for those affected by the disease.

The Instagram post garnered more than 20,000 likes and hundreds of comments expressing support. Among the public figures who responded was American singer and media personality Mary Millben. The engagement occurred during October, which is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Trump first received her diagnosis in April of this year. She made the condition public in May, informing followers that she had undergone surgery and was collaborating with her medical team on a treatment plan. Her announcement came several years after her separation from Trump Jr. in 2018. She announced in 2025 that she had begun a relationship with professional golfer Tiger Woods.

The American Cancer Society reports that the average risk of a woman in the US developing breast cancer is approximately 13%, or 1 in 8. The organization states that breast cancer accounts for 30% of all new female cancer cases annually. Surgery is the standard cure for most breast cancer cases. When residual disease is present, treatments such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and endocrine therapy can reduce long-term risks.

Medical approaches for the disease continue to evolve. Current strategies include more targeted therapies for early-stage breast cancer, new forms of hormonal therapy, and more precise radiotherapy techniques. These advancements aim to improve outcomes for patients undergoing treatment.
