Residents of Weston, Easton, and Redding cast ballots in the state election on Tuesday.

Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. across the three towns. In Weston, voters enter through the rear of Weston Middle School gymnasium. Redding holds its polls at the Redding Community Center. Easton voters use Easton Town Hall at 225 Center Road. Easton registrars allow same-day registration. Absentee ballots must arrive by 8 p.m. Registrars note that mailed ballots sent three or four days prior have arrived late in previous years.

Redding hosts a flu clinic on Election Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The clinic operates in the multipurpose room of the Redding Community Center at 37 Lonetown Road. This location doubles as the town polling place. The town calendar lists the event for the week of Nov. 2 to Nov. 7.

The Housatonic Resources Recovery Authority hosts its final hazardous waste drop-off of the year on Saturday, Nov. 7. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Brookfield High School, 45 Long Meadow Hill Road. Residents of member towns, including Weston and Redding, may attend. Easton is not a member town. Drivers must remain in their vehicles and present a driver's license as proof of residency. Staff accept paints, stains, pool chemicals, pesticides, aerosol cans, waste fuels, and 1-pound propane cylinders. They reject motor oil, antifreeze, electronics, fluorescent bulbs, and auto batteries. Wait times range from five to 30 minutes. The event proceeds in all weather.

Easton government bodies meet on Election Day evening. The Board of Finance convenes at the Easton Senior Center at 7 p.m. The Planning and Zoning Commission meets in Conference Room A at Town Hall. Neither group had posted an agenda as of Friday. The Zoning Board of Appeals canceled its scheduled meeting for that night.

Assessor's Office representatives continue property inspections for Redding's 2027 townwide revaluation. Inspectors show identification during visits. Residents are not legally required to admit them but the town requests cooperation for accurate listing. These inspections determine the October 2027 grand list and July 2028 tax bills. Residents may contact the Assessor's Office at 203-938-2626 with questions.
