A machine learning model released specific score projections for every game in NFL Week 8 on Tuesday. The system, developed by the SportsLine Data Science team, predicts the New England Patriots will defeat the Miami Dolphins 31-28. This projection stands out because the Patriots are currently second in the AFC East, while the Dolphins sit in fourth place with a 1-5 record.

The model generates its predictions by analyzing historical data from both teams. It assigns a numeric matchup score out of 100 to evaluate the strength of each opponent's defense. The system continuously updates with the most recent available data to identify discrepancies in betting lines. SportsLine states the AI has hit thousands of four and five-star prop picks since the 2023 season began.

The upcoming matchup between the Patriots and Dolphins is scheduled for Monday Night Football. The Patriots hold the division lead by one game over the Buffalo Bills. The Bills are 5-1, while the Patriots are 4-3. The Dolphins are coming off a 28-25 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday.

Quarterback Drake Maye leads the New England offense. In seven starts this season, he has completed 65.9% of his passes for 1,784 yards and 13 touchdowns. He has been intercepted eight times. Tight end Hunter Henry is his top target, with 26 receptions for 296 yards and two touchdowns.

The Dolphins offense is led by quarterback Malik Willis. He has completed 57.6% of his passes for 1,057 yards and four touchdowns. He has thrown four interceptions. Willis also carries the ball, rushing 35 times for 223 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Ollie Gordon leads the ground game with 72 carries for 339 yards and four touchdowns.

The AI model recommends betting on the over for the total points in this game. The projected total is 44.5 points. The system also identifies the Dolphins as the better value for picks against the spread, noting they are +7 underdogs on the board.

Week 8 features several other high-profile games. The Chicago Bears, the defending NFC North champions, will host the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are the defending Super Bowl champions and are listed as 3-point favorites. The Bears and Seahawks matchup serves as the finale to the week's schedule.

Other key divisional games include the Vikings versus the Lions, the Falcons versus the Buccaneers, and the Browns versus the Steelers. The Colts host the Jaguars, who are listed as 9.5-point favorites. The Chiefs play the Broncos, with the Broncos as 1.5-point underdogs. The Eagles host the Commanders, who are 5.5-point favorites.

Conference matchups include the Baltimore Ravens visiting the Buffalo Bills. The Bills are 3.5-point favorites in that contest. The Arizona Cardinals will host the Dallas Cowboys, with the Cowboys listed as 7-point favorites. These games are part of the full slate analyzed by the AI system.

Four teams have byes in Week 8: the Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, and San Francisco 49ers. The AI predictions for the remaining 14 games are available through the SportsLine platform. The system evaluates odds for the spread, the over/under, and the money line for each contest.
