Philadelphia will play without its starting quarterback for the remainder of the year, facing a Dallas squad that ranks second in scoring offense.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will miss the rest of the 2026 season after suffering a blood clot in his calf. The injury removes the team's primary playmaker ahead of a Monday Night Football matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Hurts will not return this year, leaving the Eagles to rely on their backup options for the final stretch of their schedule.
The Eagles, currently tied with Dallas at 2 wins and 4 losses, are struggling offensively. Their scoring average has dropped to 14.5 points per game over their last four contests. In the most recent loss to the Carolina Panthers, the Eagles managed just 35 rushing yards. The offensive line has been weakened by injuries, retirements, and trades, creating challenges for the ground game.
Tanner McKee stepped in at quarterback during the loss to Carolina. He completed passes for 215 yards in that 25-14 defeat. Running back Saquon Barkley may return to the lineup after missing two games with a hamstring injury. His return would provide a boost to the offense, as Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley are currently placed on injured reserve.
Dallas enters the game with one of the top scoring offenses in the league. The Cowboys allow the third-most yards per game, totaling 382.5. Their own offense averages more than 25 points per contest. Dak Prescott leads the group with 1,639 passing yards and 10 touchdowns. He also has five interceptions, two of which occurred in the 23-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers last week.
Receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens have combined for 81 receptions and 1,005 yards for Dallas. The Eagles defense ranks 27th in the NFL, allowing 363.8 yards per game. The two teams allow just over 49 points per game combined. SportsLine model simulations show Dallas winning in 62% of scenarios. Shares for a Dallas victory on the Kalshi prediction market are priced at $0.66.
The model projects the teams will combine for fewer than 44.5 points in 54% of simulations. A trade for that outcome is available at $0.51. The alternative contract for a combined total of 45 or more points trades at $0.50. The CFTC regulates these prediction markets, which carry a risk of substantial loss for participants.
